For the Dutch, the Veluwe is the most beautiful natural area in their country. Forests, sand drifts, moss and lichen steppes and heather form a landscape that is well worth seeing. And the Dutch “Big Five” can all be admired here: fox, badger, roe deer, wild boar and red deer. Then there are the Scottish highland cattle, beavers and hundreds of other mammals, birds, reptiles and insects.
